Deccan College of Engineering & Technology is located at Dar-us-Salam in the historic city of Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh. It was established as Muslim Minority Institution in 1984 by Dar-us-Salam Educational Trust to serve the interests of minority community. It owes its existence to Aalijanab Alhaj Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi Saheb Senior M.P President A.I.M.I.M and Chairman Dar-us-salam Educational Trust. The college is housed in a magnificent building with seven floors with plinth area of 22000 sq. feet on each floor. Nine Different Departments, Laboratories, Work Shops, Library, Office, Lecture Halls & Staff rooms are housed in this building. DCET is affiliated to Osmania University. The college is headed by Prof. M. Amir Ali.B.E, M.E.In the beginning the college offered only 4 courses with students intake of 180. Now the college is offering B.E. courses in Eight disciplines
